6/29 - mile 1188

6/29 – mile 1188 – Really starting to get the boat down. Self-steering vane, hydro-generator, wind generator, water maker…we’re very self-sufficient. Probably a good thing given that the nearest store is a ways away…Practiced putting the outboard on our emergency bracket. Amazing that you can drive the boat (in calm water) 2-3 knots with a 4 horse outboard.

So calm today that we went swimming. Talk about spooky. Overboard in 16,000’ of water. So clear and so blue, and endless. Good look at the bottom of the boat, prop, thrusters, etc. Didn’t see any giant sharks coming to eat us…
